Membership

The Bellman Society invites each and all who are interested in the life and works of Carl Michael Bellman or the time in which he lived or his musical tradition.
By becoming a member you will be contributing to the goal of preserving Bellman's memory, spreading interest in his poetry and helping to support research about him.

As a member you will receive:

  • The members' newsletter, Hwad Behagas? 4 times a year (in Swedish only).  The newsletter contains information about activities for members and also interesting articles about Bellman and issues related to Bellman.
  • The possibility to buy books and CD's from the Society's warehouse at reduced prices.
  • Invitations to join in activities related to Bellman, such as lectures, song performances, concerts, excursions, etc.

Your request for membership should include:

Name (individual or family, with title if applicable)
Mailing address
Telephone number
E-mail address
Date of birth (only if under the age of 30)

Membership dues (annual):

  • 100 Swedish Kronor for Junior Membership (under age 30)
  • 250 Swedish Kronor for Ordinary Membership
  • 300 Swedish Kronor for Family Membership (Husband + Wife or Partner, plus Children living at home)

 

When we have received your application, a welcoming letter will be sent to you along with a notice of membership dues.

NB:  for payment from outside the EU:
In order to avoid large bank fees, we would make the suggestion that a cash payment be remitted (bills only, inside a folded piece of stationery to avoid theft).  Please send your remittance to our Treasurer, Owe Eurenius, Grevgatan 18, SE-114 53 Stockholm, Sweden. Alternatively pay by deposition to our banking account: Skandiabanken, account number 9150-158.120-3.
If payment is made from an EU-country, it may be remitted with an IBAN-code:
